The Private Lien Resolution Program terms only apply to plans that take part. Under the terms of the program, there’s a limit or cap on how much money participating insurance plans can recover. Because insurance companies that aren’t in the Private Lien Resolution Program don’t have the same limits, those companies may recover more money than the plans in the program.
